Will AI be able to plan my whole vacation in 2027?

Probably yes for a lot of the planning, but not fully hands-off for everyone. By 2027, AI will likely be able to build detailed, highly personalized itineraries, compare options, and help coordinate bookings for many trips. It may also handle some booking, messaging, and rebooking tasks automatically in certain travel apps or services.

That said, I wouldn’t assume it will reliably manage an entire vacation end-to-end with zero human review. Travel plans still depend on real-time details, changing policies, closures, visa rules, cancellation terms, payment authorization, and other edge cases that AI can miss. For most travelers, the safest expectation is: AI does the heavy lifting, and you still do a quick final check before anything is booked.

So the short answer is: likely yes for planning, maybe partially for booking and changes, but probably not 100% hands-off yet.
