Your iPhone says SOS only at home because it can’t connect to your carrier’s normal cellular signal there. It can still reach emergency services, but your house may be blocking the signal or your carrier’s nearby tower may be weak or down.
Most likely fix: turn on Wi‑Fi Calling if your home Wi‑Fi is good.
Go to Settings > Cellular > Wi‑Fi Calling and enable Wi‑Fi Calling on This iPhone.
Also try:
- Toggle Airplane Mode on for 10 seconds, then off
- Restart your iPhone
- Check Settings > General > About for a carrier update
- Reseat your SIM card if you use one
- Reset network settings: Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings
If it only happens at home, it’s usually a coverage problem with your house or carrier. If it happens everywhere, contact your carrier or check the phone for a hardware issue.
