Why does my dog bring me random objects every morning?

Dogs bring people random objects in the morning for a few common reasons:

• Attention and interaction: They quickly learn that bringing you something gets a reaction, so the behavior is often reinforced.
• Excitement and morning energy: Greeting you can create a burst of energy, and carrying an object can be a way to channel it.
