Should I buy a travel stroller or a regular stroller?

Simple rule: if this will be your main stroller, buy a regular stroller. If you want something light, compact, and easy to pack, buy a travel stroller.

Choose a regular stroller if you want:

• Larger wheels and smoother handling on rougher ground
• More storage for diaper bags, groceries, and extras
• A sturdier all-purpose stroller for everyday use

Choose a travel stroller if you want:

• Easy lifting, folding, and storage
• Better fit for flights, road trips, public transit, or small trunks
• A stroller for quick errands or occasional use
• Possible overhead-bin compatibility on some models

One important check: many travel strollers are not newborn-friendly unless they lie flat or work with an infant car seat or bassinet.

If you’re buying only one stroller for everyday use, regular usually wins. If portability matters most, choose travel.
