QUESTION
Should I buy the TP-Link Deco X60 or Eero 6+ for a long house?
For a long, narrow house, I’d lean TP-Link Deco X60 over the Eero 6+.
The main reason is that long layouts usually work best when you can place mesh nodes in a straight chain and keep each hop strong. In practice, the Deco X60 is often the safer pick if your goal is maximizing coverage down the length of the house.
That said, the best setup for either system is Ethernet backhaul if you can run cable between nodes. If you have to use wireless backhaul, expect some speed loss at the far end of the house, especially with a long daisy-chain layout.
So the short answer is: buy the Deco X60 if your house is long and you care most about reach; choose the Eero 6+ if you prefer Eero’s app/ecosystem and your layout is less challenging.
