For most townhouse layouts, the TP-Link Deco X55 is the better buy.

Townhouses are often spread over 2–3 floors, so mesh Wi‑Fi usually works best when you can place a node on each level. The X55 is a strong pick if you want more Ethernet flexibility for wired backhaul or for plugging in devices like a TV, game console, or desktop at each node.

Choose the Eero 6+ instead if you want the simplest setup, prefer the eero app experience, or you’re already using Amazon/Alexa devices and want that ecosystem fit.

If your townhouse is busy with neighboring Wi‑Fi interference, wired backhaul will matter more than small spec differences—so whichever one you buy, try to connect the nodes by Ethernet if you can.
