For dedicated talking head and vlogging videos, the Sony ZV-E10 II is the better choice. It offers significant video-focused advantages over the Canon EOS R10, including 10-bit 4:2:2 internal recording with professional log profiles (S-Log3/S-Cinetone) for better color grading, a much larger battery (NP-FZ100), and a far superior selection of native wide-angle lenses. Crucially, the Sony can shoot 4K at 60p with a minimal 1.1x crop, whereas the Canon R10 suffers from a heavy 1.56x crop at 4K/60p, making wide-angle framing difficult in tight spaces.

However, the Canon R10 remains a compelling alternative if you want a hybrid camera. It features a built-in electronic viewfinder (EVF) and superior ergonomics, making it much more comfortable for taking still photos alongside video.
