Should I buy the Kobo Clara BW or a used Kindle Oasis?

For most readers, the Kobo Clara BW is the better and more practical buy. It offers modern USB-C charging, a sharper and faster E-Ink screen (Carta 1300), superb battery life, and seamless built-in Libby/OverDrive integration for borrowing library books.

You should only opt for a used Kindle Oasis if you absolutely demand physical page-turn buttons, prefer a larger 7-inch screen with a premium metal chassis, or are strictly locked into the Amazon Kindle ecosystem. However, buying a used Oasis means accepting an outdated Micro-USB charging port, notoriously weak battery life (which may be further degraded on a used unit), and the lack of a manufacturer warranty.
