QUESTION
Is Amazon Prime worth it if deliveries take a week in my area?
Probably not for shipping alone. If Prime deliveries usually take a week in your area, the core “fast shipping” benefit is weak, so Prime is only worth keeping if you use enough of the non-shipping perks—like Prime Video, exclusive deals, free returns/convenience, or household sharing—to justify the annual or monthly cost.
A practical test: cancel or pause Prime for 1–2 months and track what changes. If your Amazon orders still arrive in about the same time, and you can avoid shipping fees by bundling orders or meeting Amazon’s free-shipping minimum, you’re likely better off without it.
Keep it if you regularly use Prime Video, order often enough that free shipping saves real money, share benefits with a household, or Prime-only discounts offset the fee. Drop it if you mainly joined for fast delivery and your normal delivery window is still around a week.
