QUESTION
Is Amazon Prime worth it if delivery takes longer now?
Amazon Prime is usually worth about $139/year only if you use more than the shipping perk. If delivery in your area has gotten slower, the value drops a lot unless you’re also getting regular use from Prime Video, Prime Music/Reading, exclusive deals, or frequent household ordering.
A good way to judge it: if Prime saves you roughly $12–$15/month or more in shipping fees, time, or other benefits, it can still be a decent buy. If your main reason is fast delivery and you’re now seeing late or unreliable orders, it’s reasonable to cancel or pause and just use free standard shipping when available.
One caveat: prices, shipping speeds, and included benefits change, so it’s worth checking your recent orders and current Prime terms before renewing.
