QUESTION
Is a smart ring worth it if I already wear an Apple Watch?
Usually, a smart ring is only worth adding if you want better overnight comfort, longer battery life, or a second device focused on sleep/recovery trends. If you already wear an Apple Watch all day and sleep with it comfortably, a smart ring is probably redundant.
Best rule of thumb:
- Add a smart ring if you dislike sleeping in your Apple Watch, forget to charge it, want a subtler tracker, or care most about sleep, readiness/recovery, resting heart rate, HRV, and temperature trends.
- Skip it if you mainly want workouts, GPS, notifications, calls, Apple Pay, apps, safety features, or real-time screen-based feedback — the Apple Watch is much stronger there.
The strongest setup is Apple Watch for daytime/workouts + smart ring for sleep/recovery. The weakest value is wearing both 24/7 and checking two apps that tell you similar things.
