Used/refurbished units are often about $20–$45 depending on brand and condition. If you’re deciding whether to buy, a solid value target is usually around $40–$80 new.

It is less worth it if your room already has good overhead or task lighting, your monitor has a very thick/curved/unusual top edge, or you mainly need decorative RGB lighting rather than useful desk illumination.
