Should I buy the Garmin Forerunner 265 for sleep tracking?
Buy the Garmin Forerunner 265 for sleep tracking only if you also want a strong running/fitness watch. For sleep tracking alone, I would not make it the top reason to buy it.
The Forerunner 265 can automatically detect sleep, monitor movement during your normal sleep hours, and give you a lot of health/training data. That makes it useful if you want sleep data alongside running metrics, recovery-style insights, workouts, and everyday fitness tracking.
But if your main goal is the most accurate or most detailed sleep tracking, be cautious: user feedback includes complaints that its sleep tracking can be disappointing compared with cheaper watches. Sleep tracking on wrist devices is also inherently imperfect, especially for sleep stages.
Bottom line: buy it if you want a capable Garmin running watch that also tracks sleep. Skip it if sleep tracking is your main priority.
