For most living rooms, buy the bigger QLED if the OLED would force you into a noticeably smaller screen. Size usually makes a bigger day-to-day difference than perfect black levels—especially for sports, TV, gaming with friends, and bright rooms.

Buy the budget OLED instead if you watch mostly movies/series at night, sit fairly close, and care more about contrast, deep blacks, and cinematic picture quality than screen size.

Quick rule: if the choice is only one size step, such as 55-inch OLED vs 65-inch QLED, I’d lean OLED for movie lovers and QLED for bright-room/family use. If it’s two size steps, such as 55-inch OLED vs 75-inch QLED, I’d usually choose the bigger QLED unless picture quality is your top priority.
