Yes, scratched vintage Beyblades can still be worth money, though their value is significantly lower than those in mint or "like-new" condition.

Whether a scratched Beyblade holds value generally comes down to three factors:

  • Rarity: Extremely rare Beyblades (such as limited edition CoroCoro magazine releases, tournament prize Beyblades, or certain early Plastic Generation and Metal Fight models) will still fetch a decent price even with scratches. A scratched rare Beyblade is often worth more than a pristine common one.
  • "Player Grade" Demand: Many buyers are active players rather than shelf collectors. They actively want worn or scratched Beyblades so they can battle with them without feeling guilty about ruining a pristine, expensive collector's item.
  • Valuable Parts: Even if the top layer (the Attack Ring or Clear Wheel) is heavily scratched, the Beyblade might contain a rare performance tip, spin track, or weight disk that competitive players or restorers need to complete their own sets.

However, if you have common Beyblades that are heavily scratched, they typically won't sell well individually. Most sellers group these together and sell them as "bulk lots" for a flat rate.
