| MAARS
Software Suite consists of seven programs. Three of these
programs are typically included with the monitoring system,
and three programs are considered optional. PathFinder may
be packaged with a system, but typically is priced
separately. All programs are designed for the Windows
Operating Systems. The following is a short description of
these programs along with some of their features. |

Online
Monitor - MAARS
Firmware provides all "live time" data collection,
control and display functions at each local unit. The
overall data gauges are the values being recorded for each
sensor input. If a spectral band value is in alarm, the
arrow color changes to yellow or to red if the value is in a
fault condition. The Firmware provides single or multiple
displays of waveforms, spectra, trends and orbits. This
program comes with the MAARS Monitoring Units, and is not an
optional program.

DB
Editor
- The Database Editor program is used to configure
and edit the database used by the monitoring unit(s) for a
given application. This program allows the user to create
the database tree that will be used by the system and then
set the important database parameters for each level in the
database tree. Typically MAARS personnel will assist the end
user in setting up the first database as part of the system
commissioning process. This program comes with the MAARS
Monitoring Units, and is not an optional program. |

DB
Convert
- From time to time, MAARS will make updates to our system
software available. In some cases, the user's database will
need software components added or updated in order to use
the new features available in the software update.
Fortunately, the Firmware tracks its revision number, and if
a user tries to open an older database, an error message
might appear. This message simply instructs the user that
this database will require DB Convert to be executed before
it is opened. This simple process only takes a couple of
minutes. This program comes with the MAARS Monitoring Units,
and is not an optional program.

PathFinderTM
- The PathFinderTM
program is used to get historical data from the database,
for machinery diagnostics and analysis. PathFinderTM
has many tools and features developed specifically for the
machinery analyst, by programmers who have a background in
vibration and machinery diagnostics. PathFinder is 100%
compatible with Microsoft OfficeTM.
Data may be viewed graphically or as raw data in any Office
program. Simply copy and paste into ExcelTM,
WordTM,
or PowerPointTM.

SmaartMonitorTM - This
program was developed for an end-user at a large chemical
plant. Their problem was that they would like to see the
live data on the main screen of the monitoring unit, but
going into the field to see the unit required permission(s)
from area supervisors. The solution was to develop a program
that will reflect the main screen data from the Firmware on
a local PC using Ethernet. Users can now see the data from
any unit in the field as though they are standing in front
of the unit.
|

SmaarTransientTM - This
program was also developed at user request. Running
seamlessly inside PathFinderTM,
this program has all of the usual tools available for
performing transient signal analysis. Bode, Waterfall, Time
Waveform and RPM displays are core elements of the data
analysis toolset in this program. A special version of this
program was developed for the mining industry for draglines
and shovels, which will track the swing drive's motion and
store the data by individual operator.
|

SmaartBalanceTM - This
program uses a "Wizard" style interface to enhance
the balancing procedure. Single and dual plane balancing
jobs may be performed and stored by the user. This program
uses the influence coefficient method, and has the usual
features such as weight splitting and combining; trim
balance, FFT and Waveform displays, balance vector displays,
stability calculations, and HTML reports.
